I'm back from vacation 🌴 Hope you've all been well! FYI if you've been waiting for the next contrast video in relation to clarity & makeup, it's coming next week❤
also, your red hair looks amazing on you. its partially natural and calming but also a lil bit different and thoughtful. like amen to whatever your process is.
Thank you! I actually haven't dyed it since February (since my red hair video haha) so the color is faded quite a bit, but I'm liking the look of it so I just left it! 😊
I've said it before and I'll say it again: very often the best makeup tutorials are done by creators who are not makeup artists. I'm adding this one to my list of go-to videos for makeup. These are specially helpful for the many of us who will not wear foundation even if we were paid to do so.
I think your old look is just as pretty but just more subtle! The new look would get more compliments because it adds more glam and emphasis on your features but the old look brings out your natural beauty very gracefully!
I have a small philtrum and wanted to change my makeup routine, so only overdrawing my bottom lip seems great! Definitely using your ideas for the eyes as well 🥰
Love these tips, I really want to try the lip and mascara tricks! Agreed that your eye makeup suits you so well! It’s more enhancing what you have as opposed to fighting against
I have an extremely dry skin and foundation always looks caky and patchy.. your tip about mixing moisturiser with the concealer is a life changer.. I did it with my foundation and my skin looks really dewy and soft ❤ thank you!
I always thought of mixing foundation with a moisturiser instead of buying bb cream. I go pretty well makeup free and I'm nearly 70. I do like wearing subtle lip colour. I will try your excellent tips. Thanks.
Kosas BB Burst Tinted GEL Cream is the lightest, thinnest most natural looking and feeling face tint i have ever used. It adheres to the skin and is imperceptible. They have so many shades and undertones and since its a tint, there is a lot of wiggle room in the shade range . A lot of people dont like it because it offers almost no coverage but that's what i like about it. But it does smooth the skin texture as well as even the skin tone a little and will provide a light, even base to apply other products over it. And even when i do wear a regular foundation and find i need a bit more coverage, i do not add more foundation or concealer. I will tap on some of the Kosas CC gel because it adds a little more coverage without texture or thickness or cakiness. I also like using it around my problem area, my chin where i have a little dimpliness. It doesn’t make that area look worse like regular foundation.
Getting that question is goals. I have small thin lips (not paper thin but on the thinner side) and also shorter philtrum. Now I understand why I go for a bigger lip look. Also I'm preparing an olive post on my tiktok account(I have a local account rather than an English one -) and I am using your videos as my resources.
Don't mix sunscreen with anything! Put on sunscreen first, adding anything else directly to it will compromise its effectiveness. You might Lab Muffin's videos, or the Beauty Brains podcast about cosmetic chemistry.
Great tips, but I always shudder when anyone advises lining the waterline. It can cause permanent damage to the oil glands in the waterline that provide necessary lubrication to the eyes.
Well that makes me feel better because no matter what I do I cannot make anything stay on my waterline. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t even look that good on me, but because I can’t successfully wear it I’ve never confirmed lol
I’m sure it’s just an aesthetic preference but I unambiguously prefer your “before” look. But I am sure that the less subtle makeup in the new look gets more comments.
It was me who assumed you having lip fillers now 🫣 and even if you took it as a compliment luckily, it was not a nice comment so I deleted it and want to explain a bit why I said a thing like that 😬 Well first of all - your lips looked so much fuller than before, obviously 😅 and I had just seen videos from other beauty and style content creators who really do have their lips done and like I said in the comment, I really dislike this trend. Because it is SO strong now that even many girls and women with moderate lips think their lips are unattractively thin and take fillers! I did that already in 2017, once, and it was definitely one of the stupidest style choices I have ever made (the other being bleaching my hair to a platinum blonde, not once, but three times 😂) It hurt like hell, felt strange and the visual result lasted no more than two months. And of course it was expensive too. I should have told more on the first comment already - or just say that your lips look fuller and ask, what did you do to them? 😅 I am soon 45 and just recently learned to put my lip makeup on in ways that my lips do not look thin at all, but like I said about this full lip trend, it has made me feel ugly because of my lips. I grew up in the nineties when thin lips were in fashion and I never felt there is something wrong with my lips then. But not the beauty standards are SO different! And because of my insecurities about my appearance and womanhood and beauty standards that have lead even to depression and anxiety because of my obsessions on the topics, even as an adult I have not been strong enough to resist this full lip trend - even if I find even easy to resist all the other trends really! This is a great video btw and I got some more tips to make my lips look like someone might think I have had them done again so thanks 😌👌🙏🏼
Aw thanks for this thoughtful comment! I agree - the trend really has shifted what’s considered the norm or the average, and it’s gotten people obsessed in ways that destroy our self-esteem. I totally got what you meant in your initial comment about being frustrated with the whole thing and I don’t blame you! I’m glad you liked the video and the tips 🥰💕

I think she is a makeup artist, do correct me if I'm wrong tho haha
@amelia-jd3vy if she is, I'm happy she's so different from all the others.
She is a makeup artist but a refreshing change from typical artists!!

That's so sweet! 😍

First time watching one of your videos, and the lip tips have blown my mind!

K-beauty has a ton of lipliners especifically to add those shadows around the lips to create the illusion of volume. the result is quite believable
Love that mascara tip! Can’t wait to try!
Hope you like the look! 🤩

There you are! A few of these tips already work so well for me, and I can tell the same is true for you! Will definitely try them all out, tyvm
Btw when I want to add drama with black eyeliner, I wear it in very specific spots over the brown eyeliner 👌👌
Ooh I like that idea! I might give it a shot 😍

oh wow that sounds great! Glad you're using my channel as a resource ;)
Great posting, so helpful. I mix my tinted sunscreen with a bit of tinted bb cream. Acts like a foundation but incorporates my sunscreen.

@ thanks 🙏🏻
I started waterlining again too! Which eyeliner brand do you use
I'm using L'oreal infallible Grip Gel Eyeliner in Brown :) link in description!
The video I was waiting for 😻💖
❤❤❤
Did you use Sun-Baked as the lip contour color? The link just goes to one that looks more like a highlighting color.
Yes the shade I’m using is Sun Baked! 🙂
@ thank you. Your videos are very helpful!
es ist wirklich ein deutlicher und positiver unterschied!!
Glad you think so! 🥰
Yes your lips are noticeably nice looking. I never thought you had them done. Just good genetics.
Aw, that's so kind of you! 🥰

Definitely something to consider!
